Programs for Committed Youth

Discovery’s commitment programs target the factors that put committed delinquent youth at great risk of becoming chronic offenders upon their return to the community.
STEP (Short Term Expedition Program)
Month long wilderness programs for committed delinquent males and females ages 14 to 18 from throughout the State of Florida. Student offenses range from first and second-degree misdemeanors to third degree felonies, with patterns of offending that are infrequent and non-violent.
Overlander
Two to three month residential programming for committed delinquent males ages 13 to 18 from throughout the State of Florida. Student offenses range from first and second-degree misdemeanors to third degree felonies, are in good health and have are assessed as low risk to public safety.
Re-Directions
Month long wilderness programming and follow-up services for committed delinquent youth on parole, probation or conditional release status. Re-Directions programs serve male and female delinquent youth 14 to 18 years old from South Carolina on parole, probation or conditional release status.
